CatStop^® Set Up

To set up the CatStop:

1. Remove the battery door (being careful not to press on the lens or speaker). Install a fresh 9-volt alkaline battery, and then close the battery door. If you do not want to use batteries, you can attach the optional AC power adapter and plug it into an outlet). After 60 seconds, the Cat Stop is ready. The red light stays on for 2 seconds indicating that the unit has been triggered. (If this light does not come on, replace the battery with a new one.)
2. Position the CatStop (for example, in the flowerbed, or against the wall) pointed towards the area that you want to protect.
3. If mounting the unit in the ground, push the CatStop mounting stake into the soil, and attach the CatStop. (If more height is needed, attach the extension stake to the first stake.)
4. If mounting on a wall, use the template provided to locate the position of the screw holes. (Note: Maximum mounting height is 12" or 30.48 cm) Drive in the screws, leaving a ¼" (4mm) gap. Line up the screw heads with the keyholes in the CatStop, and hang the CatStop on the screw heads.
